Advanced Laser Tattoo Removal

At Erase Laser Studio, we specialise in safe, effective tattoo removal using advanced laser technology designed to target unwanted ink while protecting the surrounding skin.

Our Gold Standard Pastelle Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser delivers powerful bursts of energy that break down tattoo pigment into tiny particles. Your body then gradually clears these particles through the natural healing process.

This advanced technology allows us to treat most tattoo colours across a wide range of skin types, providing a safe and reliable solution whether you're looking for complete removal or preparing the area for new artwork.

Why Choose Advanced Laser Tattoo Removal?

Compared with older tattoo removal methods, the Pastelle Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser offers several key benefits:

  • Precise targeting of tattoo pigment

  • Reduced risk of damage to surrounding skin

  • More comfortable treatments

  • Faster healing compared with older laser systems

  • Treatments supported by Derma Chill cooling technology for improved comfort

  • Effective treatment of multiple ink colours

  • Suitable for a wide range of skin types

Our focus is always on achieving the best possible outcome for your skin, using technology designed to deliver results while maintaining skin integrity.

Laser Tattoo Removal Treatments

Laser tattoo removal can be used in several ways depending on your goals. Whether you want to completely remove a tattoo, fade it for a cover-up, or correct certain areas, treatments can be tailored to achieve the best possible result for your skin.

Complete Tattoo Removal

If you're ready to remove a tattoo completely, laser removal is the most effective and proven method available.

The laser breaks down the ink gradually over a series of treatments. As the ink particles are shattered, your body's natural processes work to flush them away over time.

Most tattoos require multiple sessions spaced approximately 8 weeks apart, allowing the skin to heal fully between treatments and giving your body time to clear the ink.

Results vary depending on factors such as:

  • Tattoo age

  • Ink depth and quality

  • Tattoo colours used

  • Skin type

  • Placement on the body

During your consultation we will assess your tattoo and provide realistic expectations for your removal journey.

Preparing for a Tattoo Cover-Up

Many clients choose laser tattoo removal not to completely remove a tattoo, but to lighten it enough for a tattoo artist to create a cover-up.

In many cases, just a few laser sessions are enough to significantly fade the original design, giving your tattoo artist a much better canvas to work with.

We regularly collaborate with tattoo artists by helping prepare the skin for new artwork. Lightening an existing tattoo often allows for better design flexibility and stronger final results.

Tattoo Correction and Fading

Laser tattoo removal can also be used to refine or correct existing tattoos. This may include:

  • Lightening areas of a tattoo for redesign

  • Softening heavy lines

  • Removing unwanted elements of a design

  • Correcting previous tattoo work

By selectively fading certain areas, laser treatments can help create space for improved artwork while maintaining the overall integrity of your skin.

What to Expect After Treatment

Laser tattoo removal involves minimal downtime, but your skin will need time to heal after each session.

At Erase Laser Studio we use the Derma Chill Cooling Machine during every laser treatment. This advanced device blows extremely cold air onto the skin, cooling it to temperatures of up to -20°C. The cooling helps numb the skin during treatment, improves comfort, and reduces heat build-up in the surrounding tissue.

Immediately after treatment: The area may appear red, swollen, or slightly tender, similar to a mild sunburn.

Blistering or crusting: Some clients may develop small blisters or scabs within a few days. This is a normal part of the healing process.

Healing time: Most treated areas heal within 7–14 days, depending on the size and location of the tattoo.

Sun protection: Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area until it has fully healed.

Activities: Normal daily activities can usually continue, but avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and heavy sweating until the area has healed.

Treatment spacing: Sessions are typically spaced around 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to recover properly between treatments.
